The party hit ’Fast Whyne’, which features Afro B, shows the more fun, party-loving, side of Skales. In ’Sawa’ (featuring Dice Ailes), we see a more playful, intentional, and loving side of Skales as he explores the city of Beirut with his love interest. And then Skales makes it a little more personal with ’Good Life’ (featuring Neza) .This minimal video is brilliantly shot, highlighting the artiste’s dedication to creating music ”for the people” and honing his craft. The star’s mother also makes an appearance in this video, tugging on our heartstrings a little. American actor, Winston Duke curated his own playlist on Spotify recently and he featured some Nigerian musicians in it. The playlist is called “Black Boy Joy”. Duke is co-star with Lupita Nyong’o on the Jordan Peele horror film, “Us”. And Spotify has an existing promotional partnership with the movie, which gives select-act curatorial access to the music streaming service. Black Boy Joy features Nigerians such as Niniola with “Maradona”, Wizkid on Soco, Mr Eazi with “Pour Me Water,” Adekunle Gold‘s “Before You Wake Up,” Olamide and Chief Obi‘s “Carry Go,” Burna Boy‘s “Dangote,” and Tekno with “Jogodo.” US artists such as DRAM, Chance the the the Rapper, Masego, Bas, Joey Bada$$ and a host of others also appeared on the playlist.

Nigerian superstar Burna Boy has teamed up with the Los Angeles production duo, DJDS on a collaborative EP called “Steel & Copper”. The EP is the first time both Burna and DJDS will be working together on a project. The project blends trap and pop sounds in its deployment. The  of Music by the Department of Music, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife. The singer becomes the first ever recipient of the award which was presented to him at the department’s 1st public lecture and fellowship award ceremony. While reacting to the statement, the artist expressed enthusiasm to have been considered for the fellowship. “Being the torch-bearer for the new pop movement is a role I do not take lightly.
